Thayer Corporation has an immediate opening for a Program Manager in Auburn, ME.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 
This person is responsible for facilitating and directing the sales and operations of the GreenHomes America program within Thayer Corporation.
The responsibilities of the Program Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
 
  • Redeem annual personal sales plan
  • Meet and exceed profitability objectives for the branch
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Assist salespeople in closing business by participating in sales calls, mentoring, coaching, and ongoing support
  • Continually motivate salespeople by encouragement, sales contests, setting sales targets, tracking progress, and providing inspiration.
  • Conduct training on an as needed basis to meet company, federal, state, or local requirements
  • Ensure all employees are in uniform and conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ensure proper documentation of all field employees’ time including time cards and project costing
  • Evaluate inventory requirements and order/stock materials as required
  • Ensure necessary quantity of materials are available for each job and coordinate delivery at the job site to allow for minimal stock at the company location
  • Coordinate and review plans with the production crew for each job and ensure the time and labor as well as inventory requirements are understood and agreed upon prior to beginning work
  • Coordinate all “test-out” scheduling as well as any follow-up visits for repairs or corrections
  • Personally respond to and resolve all customer complaints either by phone or in person
  • Ensure all appropriate safety equipment is available for each job
  • Provide guidance and enforce all safety guidelines
  • Supervise salesman, production crews, and office personnel – including supervision, hiring, terminations, promotion recommendations, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Participate in the active promotion of GreenHomes with retailers, home shows, and community events to promote GreenHomes and home performance contracting
  • Work with subcontractors when required (e.g. window replacement companies)
·         Performing other duties as assigned.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical School Training or equivalent in experience
  • At least five years of managing residential retrofit projects required; building trades (HVAC, Windows, Remodeling, etc.)/construction experience preferred; previous supervisory experience a must
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • At least 3 years of successful sales and sales management experience
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
 
  • Good computer skills, including a demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle and meet company driving requirements
  • Must pass job placement assessment (JPA) and background checks

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Energetic and excited about launching a new product offering to the marketplace
  • Desire to become an expert in home performance and energy efficiency solutions
