INSTALLATION
Thayer Corporation began as a commercial company, and to this day, commercial installation remains one of our strengths. Each business requires something different from their heating, ventilation and plumbing and Thayer works from start to finish to customize a system that will fit the specific needs at your organization.
Our skilled engineering staff works with business owners and field managers to provide a reliable system at a reasonable cost. Thayer will work in less than ideal buildings and conditions - we understand that not every commercial site can be optimized for installation work.
An investment in indoor environmental quality is an investment in workplace productivity, employee satisfaction and reduced healthcare costs. If you have air quality or comfort concerns at your facility, contact Thayer Corporation today.
WHAT IS DESIGN BUILD?
Design-build is an integrated delivery process which guarantees results and ensures customer satisfaction. By assuming responsibility for the entire project, from designing to installation, a contractor exerts a level of quality control rarely, if ever, seen in the "plan and spec" world.
Most end use customers see no perceived value in having a single source contractor. Conventional wisdom states that by having engineering firms draw up and stamp blueprints, specifically detailing the scope of work, then turning it out to the lowest qualified bidder, customers can be confident in getting the biggest bang for their buck while getting a quality product. In reality, this is rarely the case. When issues occur between the design and the implementation of a system, typically they result in lost time and cost overruns. Why? Because discussions as to how to proceed almost always lead to finger pointing and/or the cheapest way out of the situation. This is only natural and quite intuitive.
Design-build, on the other hand, comes with the promise of a single point of contact and accountability. With a design-build contractor, peace of mind manifests itself in three important ways:
1. Guaranteed performance of the solution
2. Guaranteed schedule of work
3. Guaranteed no change orders (unless customer requested)
Additionally, the design-build process takes advantage of overlapping design and construction phases to offer time savings not available in traditional construction methods. This translates into lower costs and earlier occupancies.
